About Shirley Bear Fedorak


Shirley Bear Fedorak has always been passionate about writing and storytelling. She grew up on a farm in southern Saskatchewan and attended the University of Saskatchewan to earn degrees in anthropology and archaeology. She taught anthropology and archaeology at the University of Saskatchewan for sixteen years. In 1999, she began writing anthropology and global studies textbooks for Canadian publishing houses.​

She has travelled extensively and lived in Canada, Egypt, Mexico, and Lebanon. She currently lives in Malaysia with her husband, where she continues to write in academia and operate a successful editing service. She is now focused on establishing a career in fiction, beginning with a YA climate fiction series, Rainbow Warriors.​

Shirley Bear Fedorak is married to Robert, and has three grown children and two adorable granddaughters.
